            HVAC Air Filters earn a Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) based on how efficient they are in filtering & capturing air particles from circulating in your living or work space. You can choose a filter rating that best fits your needs based on these characteristics:

            MERV 8 Filters:

            Ideal for almost all homes and business. These HVAC filters are good at removing particles such as dust, mold and pollen, which improves the air in your residence without restricting the airflow to your AC or Furnace.

            MERV 10 Filters:

            These filters capture particles as small as smog and allergens. They are excellent for most residences and business. They allow similar air flow as MERV 8 AC filters, but offer slightly better filtration at comparable prices.

            MERV 11 Filters:

            This higher efficiency HVAC air filter is recommended if you have severe allergies, multiple pets, or are in a poor air quality environment. It can help you breathe easier and assist alleviating allergies you incur in your residence.

            Learn what type of MERV rated filter you need.

            We offer filters rated from MERV 8 to 13. The higher the MERV number, the higher the filtration. Your budget and air quality requirement will factor into this decision. Also understand that higher MERV 13 rated filters have increased restriction on air flow, so it's important to monitor your system performance and possibly consult with a HVAC specialist when using.

            Know what time frame is recommended too replace your filters. Here are some recommended guidelines:

            • 3 Months: The industry standard to replace 1" Inch HVAC Filters.
            • 3 Months: Home with no pets.
            • 2 Months: Home with pets.
            • 1 to 2 Months: Occupants have Allergies, Asthma, or respiratory problems.
            • 3 to 6 Months: Single occupant or vacation home with no pets.
            • 3 to 4 Months: Replace 2" Inch HVAC Filters.
            • 3 to 6 Months: Replace 4" Inch HVAC Filters.

            Other factors such as air pollution, construction, weather, occupancy, and number or pets will affect the time frame for filter replacement. When in doubt, change the filter when it appears dirty.
